Bin Collection
Information
Penrith City Council provides a collection calendar based
on your address. Its three bin service includes a red lidded bin
for residual waste, a yellow lidded bin for recycling and a green
lidded bin for food and garden organics (FOGO).
The FOGO bin is collected weekly.
Recycling and residual waste follow the fortnightly schedule.
Collection arrangements can vary by property, including for
some apartment complexes.
About Penrith
Penrith is a major centre in western Sydney, with homes,
shops and apartments around its city centre.
Penrith Station, High Street, Westfield and City Park bring
plenty of activity to the centre, while the Nepean River is a
short distance to the west. Beyond the busiest streets, Penrith also
has established residential areas where putting the bins out is part
of the weekly household routine.
Whether you live close to the the city centre or in a quieter
residential street, remembering the bin rotation is one
less thing to manage when you have an evening reminder.
